Period Furniture Construction Workshop

These two day class will each be an depth study of the construction techniques needed to build period furniture from a working 5th generation shop. Come learn the "how to's" of lumber preparation, lay out, and design. During this class you will learn to hand cut dovetails, joining two boards (Gluing up) .mortise and tenon, hand planeing, and general case construction with some assistance from modern machinery. Most joints will be covered to aid you in your future furniture projects. This would be a class to take if you have any questions on period furniture construction. The cost for this class is $650. Lunch is included. A tool list will be provided so you can bring your own tools. Hours: 8:30 - 4:30
