During this weeklong class you will learn the period construction techniques used to build this small Chippendale dovetailed box. You will hand cut dovetails for the case and an inner tray and drawers. You will also learn how to make ogee feet and hinge a molded lid along with making two small drawers with molded overlapping fronts. Besides being a great present for the upcoming holidays this class will help with many of your future projects. Material and lunch are included. Brasses are extra. A tool list will be provided so you can bring your own hand tools.

During this weeklong class you will learn the construction methods we use to build this exceptional chest. This chest will also have a dovetailed tray which is removeable.
We will show you the steps to hand cut and fit dovetails. You will saw out the tails and transfer lines to mark the pins. Then they will be cut to fit.
We will start dovetailing the back before we proceeding to the front dovetails.
You will learn many secrets to help save time and material while building this chest.
The feet will get glue blocked together. Then they will get glue blocked to the case.
We will supply the wood for this project. We will also supply the hinges. You will be responsible for supplying the brass knobs for the drawers.
