Build a New York Corner Chair with Eagle Head Carved Arms

During this weeklong class you will learn the period construction techniques we use to build this exceptional corner chair. You will learn how to saw out a claw and ball cabriole leg. We will show you how to work out a claw and ball leg. With this class we will also cover the eagle heads carved into the arms. Many additional embellishments can be added to this project if desired. This will be an unequaled learning experience with lunch included. 

A tool and a cut list will be provided so you can bring your own hand tools and lumber. 

Hours: Mon - Thur. 8 - 4:30 Fri 8 - 3

Cost $1250

Claw and ball legs

Come learn how to work out a cabriole leg

Mortise and tenoned legs

You will cut mortises for the tenons before sawing out the legs

One step at a time so you won't get turned around

We will try not to lead you astray while building this wonderful chair

Learn how we carve an eagle head arm

Along with other embellishments on this chair we will show you how to start to adorn this sculpted chair.

We will try not to throw you to many curves while building this chair

Three sculpted tall posts and one short front post

This class will have many pearls to be gripped for a lifetime of future projects

Working out a ball and claw cabriole leg is only the first step to this project.
