January 21 and 22, 2023
This two-day class will cover general furniture construction for both beginners and advanced craftsmen. During this weekend class you will learn many tricks of the trade to help you with an upcoming project or a current project you are working on.
February 11 and 12, 2023
This two-day class will be on building a drawer. You will learn the tried-and-true methods we use to produce different drawers from different periods and regions. We will cover many different types of drawers with different embellishments.
March 13 - 17, 2023
This 5 day class will be on building a Virginia hunt board. This piece is the less formal cousin to the more popular sideboard. Its straighter lines do not take away from the elegant and useful form this piece has. This class will cover the joinery needed to build this wonderful piece.
May 8 - 12, 2023
Learn how to build an eagle carved corner chair. This chair was copied from an original New York corner chair with ball and claw feet and eagle heads carved in the arms. During this 5-day class you will learn all aspects of the joinery needed to produce this wonderful chair.
July 24 - 28, 2023
Come build a federal hall cabinet. During this class you will learn how to cut and fit dovetails and mortise and tenons. Come learn the secrets of veneering door panels and drawer fronts along with cock beading a drawer. We will show you how to flair a case side for a French foot.
August 21 - 25, 2023
Learn how to build a Chippendale side chair. During this 5 - day class you will cut angled mortises and fit straight tenons while reproducing this wonderful chair. This simple yet elegant chair has all the same joinery techniques as its more sophisticated cousin without the carving.
September 18 - 22, 2023
During this 5 day class you will learn to cut and fit small dovetails. This chest has two drawers with a lift out tray to hold many secrets. With a few months before the holidays there should be time to complete this chest for your significant other.
November 13 - 17, 2023
Come build a reproduction of George Washington's tea table. We were asked to build this table for a descendant of this nation's first president. It is said that President Washington had tea and crumpets each night, on this table, before retiring for the evening.
December 11 - 15, 2023
During this 5 - day class you will reproduce a pair of these timeless tables. With three drawers and a scalloped skirt this project will prove to be a fun class with many different areas to use these tables.
