Welcome to Woodworking Workshops of The Shenandoah Valley
We are a continuously operating shop located in the beautiful and historic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. With over 100 years of operating our family business we have many secrets to share. With an increased backlog of orders, we are only offering single day workshops with multiple day workshops by availability.
Each Wednesday we are open for a scheduled full one-day hands on workshops.
Spaces are limited. Wednesday's we are scheduling full one day workshops throughout 2026.
With over 100 years of building tomorrow's heirlooms, we have an incredible wealth of knowledge to pass on to you to help with your next project. We offer workshops such as carving a claw and ball leg, veneering and inlaying, hand cutting dovetails, design and layout, along with all the tried-and-true traditional joinery technique methods handed down over generations. There is only a limited opening of spaces for each Wednesday so schedule yours today. This multi-day workshop concentrates on the traditional joinery methods needed to build this exceptional chest of drawers. Along with over 100 years of producing and restoring furniture and architectural details we will provide a cut list so you can bring your own desired species of wood. Small steps create enormous outcomes.
Federal Hall Cabinet

A place to throw your things when you get home. This hall or entryway piece has all the nice features from the Federal period (1780 -1810). Learn to veneer both drawer fronts and door panels. After the veneering process steps will be taken to insure all the necisary proceedures will be cover as to let yourself commplete this projest at home.
